To Veil or Not to Veil?

That is the question. Many brides consider wearing headpiece options other than the traditional veil to complement their wedding dress.   What options, you ask?  Let’s explore!

Fresh flowers are always a lovely option. We have seen these beauties range anywhere between large, boho floral crowns of multicolor blooms to just a touch of baby’s breath tucked in a styled updo.

Headbands could be categorized as a simple headpiece. A delicate ribbon entwined throughout a braid could suffice gorgeously, but of course, girls who love sparkle wouldn’t dream of anything less than a beaded masterpiece.

Let’s not forget the nod to tradition with a tiara.  Tiaras are usually worn with a veil, but most certainly could stand alone.  Maybe you love the sparkle of a tiara but having all that glitz in one spot is a little much, so here’s where hairpins and clips step in. Small, diamond-sized rhinestone pins amidst gorgeous curls for accent or maybe a larger clip or comb in beautiful beaded patterns placed just right in a side pull are a bit more your style.

Last, but not least mind you, is, well, the veil!  Admittedly, New Beginnings Bridal Studio is partial to veils. Nothing says “bride” like a veil can because of the way it accents your gown and sets the mood better than than anything we can think of.  Veil options are limitless, varying from your tiny, open netted birdcage to your long, flowing lace and beaded cathedral length.

Bottom line is that it all comes down to personal preference.  Just remember that this is a day like no other.  You will look and dress more spectacular than ever before or after, so don’t be afraid to stand out and be the focus. You are the BRIDE, after all!
