Recently, as we were here in the bridal boutique looking at various wedding dresses and wedding inspiration ideas, we came across a weathered sign with a quote. We all see these kinds of signs all the time, especially here in the Pacific Northwest, but this quote struck a chord. We are sure it has with you also. The sign that says, “I have found the one in whom my soul loves”.

It was taken from a Bible verse in the Song of Solomon. Specifically, chapter 3 verse 4. “I have found the one in whom my soul loves”. What in the world is so attention grabbing about this phrase? It’s not like we don’t hear versions of this same sentiment expressed in several ways throughout each day. But something…something in that sentence feels deeply sincere. Here’s what it is, and it’s just one word. Soul.
